Xinyi Wang, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Annenberg School for Communication. Her research focuses on curiosity—specifically, the role it plays in media experiences and how it influences health behavior. She conducts research through the lens of internal processes (e.g., within-person fluctuations of emotions and cognitions), external influences (e.g., social influence and social relationships), and the dynamic interplay between them.
She earned a PhD in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication, a Master of Arts in Statistics and Data Science from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
