Rural Health Policy for Non-Rural Health Researchers: Why Now is the Time to Pay Attention

Virtual Roundtable for LDI Fellows Only

12:00p.m. – 1:00p.m. ET September 30, 2025 Virtual Event

Please join us for a roundtable designed for LDI Fellows whose research focus is not specifically on rural health to understand and explore the unique and shared challenges in rural health policy. We will hear from experts from across the state and nation about key issues shaping rural health and economic stability, and foster a dynamic conversation on how non-rural health researchers can effectively design rural-responsive health and economic research.

With renewed federal interest and significant emphasis on rural health funding in recent budget negotiations, the political, financial, and ethical importance of achieving health equity in rural communities has never been clearer. Yet, despite this critical momentum, many Penn investigators and clinicians may be less familiar with the key topics and pressing questions impacting these vital communities.
