Doctors, Nurses, and Managers Received Wage Hikes After Medicaid Expansion While Lower-Paid Workers Did Not
Data From 46 States Suggests No Wage Gains Among Lower-Wage Health Care Workers
New technological advances, campaign talking points, and the continued push for affordable care raised many questions in a dynamic health policy landscape in 2024. LDI answered this call by hosting seminars and conferences, facilitating public testimonies, and continuing our work to support and train the next generation of health services researchers. Our Fellows’ insights and expertise was featured in blogs, videos, and news stories. We supported research seeking to support the health care workforce and to improve access to care. We convened national experts to unravel the complexities around generative AI in health care, integrating care for dually eligible individuals, and sustainably funding multimillion dollar gene therapies.
We invite you to look back at 2024 with us. The features listed here only skim the surface of our collective impact last year. Please click through in each section to see more. I look forward to continuing to celebrate this work long past the new year, and to driving more progress in the new year towards improving health and health care for everyone in the U.S.
