Dava Szalda, MD, MSHP

Dava Szalda, MD, MSHP is the Program Director of the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Training Program at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Co-Director of the Transition to Adult Care Team at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her clinical and academic work focuses on the transition from pediatric to adult care for young adults with medical complexity and cancer survivorship.

Dr. Szalda completed the combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Training Program at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Prior to that she completed her her MD at Stony Brook Medical School. After residency she completed a year of chief residency as the inaugural combined chief resident for the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Program. She completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a Masters of Health Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania.
