Lauren Eberly, MD, MPH

Lauren Eberly, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and a staff cardiologist for the Indian Health Service at Gallup Indian Medical Center. As a Global Health Equity resident and cardiology fellow, Dr. Eberly has worked with Partners in Health in Rwanda and Liberia to support health systems strengthening, assisting with implementation of nurse-driven care delivery models for noncommunicable diseases, with a special focus on heart failure. As a health services researcher, she has led numerous projects focused on addressing structural inequities in cardiovascular care delivery. Her clinical and research interests include investigating inequities in cardiovascular care and developing innovative strategies to promote health equity in cardiovascular care and outcomes, both abroad and domestically.

Dr. Eberly earned her MD from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2015, and her MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2019. She completed the Doris and Howard Hiatt Residency in Global Health Equity and Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), and her fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
