Sameed Khatana, MD, MPH is an instructor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. He completed his medical school training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School as part of the Medical Management Leadership Track, and cardiology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He has also received a Master of Public Health degree at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He previously worked as a fellow at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation on the delivery of diabetes prevention programs for Medicare patients. His research interests include quantitative evaluation of health policies, quality designation of health providers and disparities in cardiovascular care. His work has been published JAMA Internal Medicine, JAMA Cardiology and Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions. His work has been publicized by multiple news outlets includes CNN, Reuters and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
