Debanjan Pain, MD

Debanjan Pain, MD, is a Fellow in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. He is especially interested in advancing equitable access to cancer care, both in inner-city settings in the United States and in resource-scarce settings in Sub-Saharan Africa. During his fellowship, he has led implementation research of cancer screening and clinical trial enrollment initiatives, engaging underserved minority Philadelphia residents. Additionally, he has provided oncological care in Butaro, Rwanda and in Gaborone, Botswana with Penn’s international partnerships. He completed his prior training at Harvard University and at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
