Dillan Villavisanis, MD

Dillan Villavisanis, MD is a plastic and reconstructive surgery resident at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine and a Fellow at Artis Ventures. His current research includes translational innovation, applications of machine learning to clinical datasets, and global surgery.

In the community, he enjoys serving as Co-Chair of the Young Leadership Board for Smile Train, as Co-Chair of the Curriculum Committee for the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, and on the Advisory Board of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

Dr. Villavisanis graduated from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with an MD and from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Medicine, Science, & the Humanities and Anthropology as a Hodson Scholar. During his undergraduate education, he pursued a year studying biochemistry at Oxford University and a semester in Sydney at the Garvan Institute.
