Justinna Dixon, PhD, RN, is a T32 Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research at Penn Nursing and a fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program. She is also pursuing a Master of Science in Health Policy Research through the University of Pennsylvania.
Dixon’s research focuses on promoting health equity among individuals with mental health conditions by leveraging the health care workforce and organizational factors. She is particularly interested in improving physical health outcomes for individuals with serious mental illness. She is also committed to developing innovative strategies to address social determinants of health and improve outcomes for this population.
Clinically, she has provided care as a registered nurse in inpatient psychiatric and substance use units. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the Columbia University School of Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University–New Brunswick.
