Nancy Hodgson, PhD, RN

Dr. Nancy Hodgson is the Claire M. Fagin Leadership Professor of Nursing and Department Chair of Biobehavioral Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. A nurse scientist, she brings extensive research expertise in dementia (AD/ADRD) family caregiving, and biobehavioral intervention trials in persons with MCI and AD/ADRD. Her program of research is specifically focused on the testing and implementation of interventions to ease the leading symptoms for diverse populations of people living with dementia and their care partners living in the home and community. She has been Principal Investigator (PI) on multiple clinical trials that rigorously evaluated biobehavioral interventions for persons with AD/ADRD and their family caregivers. As a Fellow in LDP she brings multi method expertise including qualitative methods (interview design, conduct, data coding and analyses), and behavioral intervention development (using mixed methods to design or adapt interventions including technology based interventions), single-site and multi-site clinical trials, and implementation science.
