Sarah Gutman, MD, MSPH is an OB/GYN and Complex Family Planning specialist. Dr. Gutman’s research interests include health care quality and improvement. She has worked on projects addressing opioid prescription patterns after cesarean delivery. She is interested in program development, and helped initiate Centering Group Prenatal Care at the University of Pennsylvania. She has also investigated virtual, group contraceptive counseling within abortion care.
Dr. Gutman completed a Master’s of Science in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a focus on population, family, and reproductive health. She completed OB/GYN residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2020 and a fellowship in Complex Family Planning in 2022. She is passionate about reproductive justice and health equity.
