Sarah Gutman, MD, MSPH is a Complex Family Planning Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to medical school, she completed a Master’s of Science in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a focus on population, family, and reproductive health. She attended the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and completed an OB/GYN residency at HUP in 2020. She is passionate about reproductive justice and health equity. She has worked internationally in Haiti and Uganda.
Dr. Gutman’s research interests include health care quality and improvement. She has worked on projects addressing opioid prescription patterns after cesarean delivery and helped initiate Centering Group Prenatal Care at the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently investigating group contraceptive counseling for women presenting for pregnancy options counseling.
