Nashua Volquez-Young
Nashua Volquez-Young is the Administrative Coordinator at Penn LDI. She supports multiple areas of work at LDI, including LDI’s research infrastructure. Prior to LDI, she was a Field Research Specialist at Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine where she worked on several projects, primarily Temple Health: Block by Block (THB3), a multi-disciplinary research project aimed to address and better understand the health needs and concerns in North Philadelphia while simultaneously educating and providing resources to the community. Volquez-Young’s passion for the development and functioning of human society drives her to the ultimate purpose of providing equal opportunities for quality education and quality health care for disadvantaged communities. She holds a Bachelor's in Sociology with a minor in Latin American Studies and plans to complete her master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania.
