Anzu Isa
Anzu Isa is a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a BA in Health and Societies. She is passionate about understanding how policy, economics, and social structures shape women’s health outcomes. With prior outreach experience in menstrual health, Anzu is eager to explore broader issues in maternal and women’s health through the SUMR program.
This summer, she is working with Dr. Daria Murosko on a project examining housing affordability and its intersection with health outcomes. She will also be contributing to the SHIP trial led by Dr. Carmen Guerra, a nationwide clinical trial focused on improving preventive care and screening access for underserved populations.
On campus, Isa is an analyst with the Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club, where she collaborates on strategy projects for healthcare startups and firms. She also serves as the fundraising chair for Penn Club Swim and is active in outreach for Penn Water Polo. In her free time, she enjoys café hopping, trying new food spots on Beli, and working out at the gym or pool.
