Caleb Rogers
Caleb Rogers graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BSE in Bioengineering and a minor in Math. Through his prior experience researching at T3 Labs, a biomedical research facility sponsored by the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University, he studied the impact of mitral valve regurgitation on the structure and functional abilities of the heart. He is currently working as a Product Designer and Data Analyst at SavoMed.
During the 2019 SUMR program, Rogers worked with Dr. Li Shen and Dr. Xiaohui Yao to perform integrative analyses of brain network data, genetic data, and cognitive data available from the NIH Human Connectome Project. The goal of his work was to identify outcome-relevant human brain connectivity measures and their genetic basis. Additionally, he employed the brain connectivity toolbox to perform network analysis, modified existing R scripts to identify outcome-relevant network measures, and performed genetic association analysis.
