Samuel Bartolone
Sam Bartolone is an incoming senior at Swarthmore College majoring in Chemistry and Economics. He is interested in the intersection of business strategy with the life sciences and healthcare industries.
During the SUMR program, Sam works on two research projects. The first is under the mentorship of Dr. Adriana Perez where he helps identify the effectiveness of physical intervention methods as a treatment for Hispanic populations living with mild cognitive impairment. In the second project, he examines the relationship between clinical quality of care and kidney disease patient outcomes under the mentorship of Dr. Christin Iroegbu.
At Swarthmore, Sam works as a teaching assistant in Organic Chemistry courses and is part of a financial development club that educates students on careers in consulting and banking. Additionally, Sam has had experience working at a Biotech CDMO with helping pharmaceutical companies develop and manufacture highly complex drug formulations. In his free time, Sam enjoys working out, listening to music and spending time outdoors.
