Information Session: The White House Social and Behavioral Sciences Team (SBST) Fellows and Associates Program and Other Opportunities

4:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. December 9, 2015

Room 1104, Blockley Hall, 423 Guardian Drive

David Yokum, from the White House Social and Behavioral Sciences Team (SBST), will host an information session at Penn to discuss potential opportunities for faculty and staff to become involved in the work of the SBST.

SBST works across the federal government to apply findings and methods from the social and behavioral sciences to help the policies, programs, and operations of government better serve the nation. SBST has partnered with federal agencies to design and test the impact of behaviorally-informed interventions within programs and policies using rapid, rigorous, and low-cost methods.

SBST offers several opportunities to get involved. The first option is through their formal fellow and associate program which is a one year program where candidates take leave from their academic post and work in DC directly with agencies and SBST. A second option is to serve as a collaborator on an ad hoc basis. Here is a link which further describes the fellows and associates program.
