Amal Trivedi, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Health Services, Policy and Practice at Brown University and Research Investigator at the Providence VA Medical Center. He is a general internist and health services researcher whose work focuses on measurement of quality in health care, racial and socioeconomic disparities in health care, and patient and provider incentives that impact the quality and equity of care. Dr. Trivedi’s research has appeared in Health Affairs, JAMA, and the New England Journal of Medicine. He directs Brown University’s doctoral program in Health Services Research and teaches courses on quality measurement and health services research methods for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Dr. Trivedi received his MD from The University of California, Los Angeles and his MPH from Harvard University.
