2022 Penn LDI/CHERISH Virtual Conference

Using State Licensing Standards to Improve Access to Medications for Opioid Use Disorder

12:00p.m. – 3:00p.m. ET January 14, 2022 Virtual Event

Invitation Only

Despite effective medications for opioid use disorder, many facilities and programs fail to provide these medications as a standard of care. This conference will explore how states can use their licensing authority to address these widespread gaps in care. Join us as we discuss model state licensing standards for residential facilities, the challenges states face in implementing licensing requirements, and how research can help estimate the intended and unintended outcomes of this approach.

The Center for Health Economics of Treatment Interventions for Substance Use Disorder, HCV, and HIV (CHERISH) is a multi-institutional Center of Excellence, funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. CHERISH is a collaborative effort among Penn LDI/University of Pennsylvania, Weill Cornell Medicine, Boston Medical Center, Boston University School of Public Health, and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
