Breaking Barriers: Advancing LGBTQ+ Health Equity Through Policy

This panel discussion will explore the current state of LGBTQ+ health research and its implications for health policy and practice. Panelists will share insights on structural and systemic challenges to providing culturally humble and inclusive care, and propose strategies to address barriers faced by LGBTQ+ communities. The conversation, moderated by Director of the Eidos LGBTQ+ Health Initiative José Bauermeister, PhD, MPH, will focus on how policy levers can be used to drive health equity for the LGBTQ+ community. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how research, policy, and practice intersect to support the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ populations. Reception to follow the panel discussion.
