LDI Associate Fellow Appointment Criteria

Criteria for Initial 2-year Appointment

Eligibility: Health services research trainee affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania or CHOP, including (a) PhD students, (b) post-doctoral fellows, (c) residents/fellows actively engaged in research or research training, (d) MD-MSHP students, and (e) instructors.

Requirements

1) Spend approximately 100 hours per year on LDI activities including collaboration, participation, and engagement with LDI and the LDI community. Examples include:

  • Serve as an investigator on a research and/or policy project directly connected to LDI's mission
  • Prepare a proposal on a research and/or policy project directly connected to LDI's mission with other LDI Fellows
  • Regularly attend LDI Research or Policy Seminar Series
  • Attend LDI networking events
  • Regularly attend LDI/PSOM Health Services Workshops
  • Prepare blogs for LDI on behalf of its mission
  • Serve a mentor or presenter in the SUMR Program

2) Use LDI affiliation on all manuscripts and presentations related to LDI’s mission.

3) Provide annual updates on your LDI-related research, policy and educational activities, including publications, presentations, grants, etc.

Appointment Process

Applications for Associate Fellows are reviewed on an ongoing basis. The initial appointment is for two years.


Criteria for Reappointment

Eligibility: Current Associate Fellows with ongoing trainee affiliation with the University of Pennsylvania or CHOP as health services researchers can apply to renew their Associate Fellow appointment for another two-year term.

Reappointment requires demonstrated engagement with LDI during the previous two-year term and an agreement to:

1) Spend approximately 100 hours per year on LDI activities including collaboration, participation, and engagement with LDI and the LDI community.

2) Use LDI affiliation on all manuscripts and presentations related to LDI’s mission.

3) Provide annual updates on your LDI-related research, policy and educational activities, including publications, presentations, grants, etc.

Reappointment Process

Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. The reappointment is for two years.
