Bhavik Patel, MD is a fellow in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is interested in studying and characterizing underlying mechanisms of health disparities in critical care, particularly for acute respiratory distress system. He is also interested in studying behavioral economics interventions to improve representativeness in clinical trial recruitment within the critical care space.
Dr. Patel is originally from Chicago and earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois and subsequently completed internal medicine residency at Duke University Hospital. In addition to clinical fellowship, he is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) at the Perelman School of Medicine.
