Emna Bakillah, MD, MSHP

Emna Bakillah, MD, MSHP obtained her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Society honors. She completed a General Surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bakillah is currently a Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a Masters Degree in Health Policy Research under the guidance of her mentor Dr. Rachel Kelz, MD, MSCE, the William Maul Measey Professor of Surgery. Dr. Bakillah’s interests include health disparities research, specifically in underinsured and immigrant populations with regards to access to surgical care.
