Eric Bressman, MD, MSHP is a fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania. His research centers around the integration of technology into clinical care delivery, with a particular focus on transitions of care. This includes developing and testing digital tools to support patients after hospital discharge, and examining the role of telemedicine during this critical recovery period. He is also interested, more broadly, in the regulatory framework supporting the use of virtual care, including issues such as interstate delivery of care and payment for digital interactions.
Dr. Bressman received his MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency and chief residency. He received his Master’s of Science in Health Policy from the University of Pennsylvania. His opinion pieces have appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Philadelphia Inquirer, and on NEJM Journal Watch.
