Julia Lynch, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Lynch’s research concerns the politics of public health, social policy, and the economy in a comparative perspective, with a focus on inequality in the rich democracies, particularly Western Europe and North America. Lynch has received major grants and fellowships from the Mellon Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the National Science Foundation, and the Social Science Research Council. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA from Harvard University.
