Katherine L. Milkman, PhD is Professor of Operations, Information, and Decisions at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She uses big data and field experiments to document how people systematically deviate from making optimal choices and to explore how our decisions can be improved. In 2015, her research earned her an Early Career Award from the Federation of Associations in Behavioral & Brain Sciences, and in 2019, she was elected a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science. She is the current president of the Society for Judgement and Decision Making, co-directs the Penn-Wharton Behavior Change for Good Initiative, and hosts Charles Schwab’s popular podcast Choiceology, which shares lessons from behavioral science with a broad audience.
