Neil A. Ray, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine as well as an Instructor in the Department of Bioengineering. His background involves health care innovation, design thinking, and medical devices. He has several patents for devices ranging from endoscopy to catheter hubs. He also partnered with the Penn School of Engineering and the Weitzman School of Design to design and manufacture face shields for the pandemic. His interests are in the intersection between engineering design and medicine.
