Shannon Ugarte, MD is a Clinical Fellow in Hematology/Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a Penn Center for Healthcare Improvement & Patient Safety (Penn CHIPS) student. She is interested in quality improvement and health care innovation focused on optimizing health care delivery, providing equitable cancer care, and finding ways to ease the burden of accessing oncologic care for underserved and vulnerable patient populations to improve health care outcomes and mitigate disparities.
Dr. Ugarte received her medical degree from Texas A&M University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at Alameda Health System – Highland Hospital, where she also served as chief resident.
