Stephanie Van Decker, MD, MS is a clinical fellow in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a certificate in health care quality and safety through the Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Safety. Her interests have focused on how the health care system can provide high quality, lower cost care to historically disenfranchised patient populations. Specifically, her interest lies in improving transitions of care and health care systems operations with the goal to advance health care equity. She is currently working to help facilitate a streamlined post-discharge visit process for the department of pulmonary and critical care. Dr. Van Decker received her medical degree from Temple University Hospital and completed her Internal Medical training at Boston Medical Center (BU/BMC).
