Simultaneous with the U.S. House of Representatives’ final debate and passage of the American Health Care Act (AHCA) as an alternative for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), three University of Pennsylvania policy centers convened a bipartisan panel to discuss the two different approaches to health care reform. The event took place in the Hall of Flags of Penn’s Houston Hall and covered crucial concepts including Medicaid expansion, state waivers, and the “continuous coverage” concept the AHCA would use to replace the ACA’s mandate.
