Chén Kenyon, MD, MSHP is a General Pediatrics and Complex Care Hospitalist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He is an Investigator at PolicyLab and Clinical Futures at CHOP and leads the Population Health Science portfolio for PolicyLab. He also co-leads the Asthma Population Health Workgroup at CHOP and is the Associate Medical Director for Population Health Innovation, implementing and evaluating network-wide interventions for children and families with chronic illness served by CHOP.
Dr. Kenyon’s research focuses on understanding and developing interventions to mitigate the drivers of poor outcomes and associated inequities for children with chronic conditions, with a concentration on pediatric asthma. His recent work focuses on developing and implementing health system-level interventions to improve provider and patient adherence to guideline-based care in the highest risk children with asthma using pragmatic trials and implementation-effectiveness designs.
He received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Rochester and his MD from Boston University. He completed residency training in the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics, where he served as a Chief Resident. He then received a Master of Science in Health Policy Research as a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.
