
Aditi Halpe
Aditi Halpe is a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Health and Societies. She is interested in the intersection of healthcare delivery, patient experiences, and health equity, with a particular focus on improving care for older adults and understanding the social and economic factors influencing health outcomes.
As a SUMR Scholar, Halpe is contributing to two research projects. Under the mentorship of Dr. Kira Ryskina, she is assisting in a study on clinician care models for nursing home residents with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. This work includes implementing a national survey to examine the degree of co-management between physicians and advanced practitioners and its impact on care quality and costs. Additionally, Halpe is working with Dr. Jaya Aysola and Dr. Renee Betancourt on a project focused on improving the diagnosis and management of CKD-3 in primary care through qualitative research exploring patient and provider experiences.
Halpe’s academic and research pursuits reflect her passion for developing innovative, patient-centered solutions to improve healthcare delivery. She is committed to addressing structural challenges and advancing compassionate care for vulnerable populations.
