Milena Stepanova
Milena Stepanova is an international student at the University of Michigan majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience with a minor in UX Design. She is passionate about usability and accessibility, and she is trying to bring this to the healthcare industry.
During SUMR, Milena works on a Resilient Communication Systems project under the mentorship of Halley Ruppel at A Pediatric Patient Safety Learning Lab. The project aims to improve patient safety and outcomes of hospitalization, using a systems engineering and human-centered design processes by development of interventions to clinician-to-clinician communication.
On campus, she is a researcher at the Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience lab and the Child Health and Development Lab. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, learning languages, and traveling around the world.
