Institute for Biomedical Informatics experts will be conducting a follow-up to their Machine Learning 101 workshop tailored for LDI senior fellows and those interested in applying machine learning methods in their research projects in health policy, health economics, or health services research. A video of the first workshop can be accessed here.

The learning objectives of this workshop are to demonstrate
(1) a holistic example of machine learning for predictive modeling from start to finish as part of a data analysis pipeline,
(2) how to overcome challenges that may arise when using machine learning,
(3) options for analysis,
(4) model evaluation,
(5) data/model interpretation, and
(6) what information to highlight for publication.
