Health Care Access & Coverage
Reforming Medicare Advantage to Deliver on Its Promise
A Conversation with Richard Frank, PhD, Mark E. Miller, PhD, Tricia Neuman, ScD, Zirui Song, MD, PhD, moderated by David Grande, MD, MPA
In 2023, Medicare Advantage passed a major milestone, now insuring more than half of eligible Medicare beneficiaries. And yet, as the role of Medicare Advantage grows, so do questions about the costs of the program, the value it brings to consumers and payers, and how well it serves the increasingly diverse group of enrollees who receive their Medicare coverage from Medicare Advantage. LDI and a panel of experts explored what Medicare Advantage costs and what value it delivers, along with ways to help it fulfill its original promise.
