Vishnu Potluri, MD, MPH, is an Instructor in the Renal Division and a Renal Transplant Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. He is passionate about improving access to kidney transplantation.

Dr. Potluri’s recent work has focused on evaluating outcomes for Hepatitis C-infected kidney transplants into uninfected recipients. In addition, he evaluated outcomes for organ donors who subsequently need a kidney transplant and identified geographic disparities in access to pediatric kidney transplantation.

Dr. Potluri's research is supported by a National Kidney Foundation Young Investigator Grant. Previously his work was supported by an American Society of Nephrology Ben Lipps fellowship.

Before joining the Renal division, Vishnu completed his medical education in India, followed by a Masters in Public Health at the University of Pennsylvania, and an internal medicine residency at Lankenau Hospital.
