Alexandra Bray, PhD is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Health Care Management Department at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research exists at the intersection of organizations and healthcare, seeking to understand how healthcare organizations and providers respond to intra- and extra-organizational pressures. She is specifically interested in how interpersonal dynamics combine to affect teamwork and team performance. In current work, she examines how team member familiarity in the emergency department affected patients’ length of stay during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She received her PhD in Management (Organizations & Management) from Yale University in 2023. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked as a junior research scientist on a large field experiment studying educational outcomes in the NYC public school system.
