Diana Bongiorno, MD, MPH

Diana Bongiorno, MD, MPH, is a fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) and an emergency medicine physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on how emergency care can be optimized to advance health equity and address social determinants of health. During fellowship, she is expanding this work with a focus on reproductive health care.

Bongiorno completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating from the Vagelos Life Sciences and Management dual-degree program between the College of Arts and Sciences and The Wharton School. She earned her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from Johns Hopkins University. She then completed the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.
