Gabrielle Zuckerman

Gabrielle “Gaby” Zuckerman is a PhD student in Epidemiology in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. She is an aspiring social epidemiologist whose current research examines macro-level determinants of opioid overdose risk, with a focus on spatial patterns and neighborhood change.

Zuckerman earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina’s Gillings School of Global Public Health. She then completed a two-year post-baccalaureate research fellowship at the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, where she worked on projects leveraging health information technologies to improve minority health and reduce health disparities. Zuckerman is also enrolled in the Public Health Certificate Program at Penn.
