Jacob Dorn, PhD is a postdoctoral researcher at the Leonard Davis Institute under Claudio Lucarelli. His primary research agenda focuses on payment structures in health care contracts. He is also interested in causal inference without standard assumptions and the industrial organization of complex markets. Dorn has contributed to and reviewed for leading venues in computer science and statistics.
His current research projects include hospital gainsharing, the tractability of price transparency data, sharp bounds under unobserved confounding, statistical inference with weak overlap, and staggered contract bargaining. Jacob received his PhD in Economics from Princeton University in 2024, where he was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
