Xiaoxuan (Priscilla) Liu, RN is a PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
Her research interest broadly pertains to improving mental health for the adolescent population, with specific interests in biosocial predictors and protectors of adolescent mental health, adolescents’ risky behaviors, mental health recognition in cross-cultural contexts, and mental health disparities.
Liu obtained her BSN from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and practiced as an adult medical-surgical acute care nurse at the University of Michigan Hospital. Through her clinical practice, she saw the limitation of bedside nursing and the importance of health promotion research, which informed her research interest.
