On May 23rd, 2024, Jeanmarie Perrone, MD testified during the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance’s hearing regarding the fentanyl crisis and combating addiction through prevention and treatment. Perrone offered federal strategies for consideration, such as lowering barriers and integrating care, increasing methadone access, and providing funding for harm-reduction services.
