Jane M. Zhu, MD, MPP is a primary care physician and an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. She holds a secondary appointment in Health Systems Management & Policy at the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. Dr. Zhu’s scholarship broadly focuses on organizational responses to payment reform and health policies, and their effects on access and quality. She is particularly interested in mental/behavioral health, Medicaid, and the care of vulnerable populations. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed publications including JAMA, Health Affairs, and JAMA Internal Medicine.
She earned her BSc in global health and international development from Duke University, and dual degrees in Medicine and Public Policy from Harvard Medical School and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. After internal medicine residency training at the University of California, San Francisco, she completed a fellowship as a National Clinician Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.
