Domenique Villani, MPH, RN, is a PhD student and NIH T-32 pre-doctoral fellow in the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research (CHOPR) at the University of Pennsylvania. After nearly a decade of clinical operating room experience, she transitioned to public health. Her public health contributions primarily include coordinating initiatives related to vaccine education, opioid remediation, and community-engaged processes in rural and medically underserved areas in Virginia.
Villani is passionate about conducting research that intentionally considers health equity. She is interested in studying interventions that fall under the umbrella of improving access to health care and health education, and bridging the gap between health care institutions and population health outcomes. This research interest stems from her clinical experience in the hospital setting and her public health training. Villani received her BSN in 2012 from Villanova University and her MPH in 2023 from Virginia Tech with dual concentrations in infectious disease and public health education.
