Phuong Pham
Phuong (Victoria) Pham graduated from Berea College as a double major in Mathematics and Economics with a concentration in Models and Methods. She is originally from Vietnam. Currently, she is working as a Real Estate Investment Specialist at New Western Acquisitions.
As SUMR 2019 scholar, Pham worked on two different projects that matched her interests. One project was with Dr. Hamsa Bastani, PhD. The project attempted to develop a method for pre-screening for melanoma via image data in resource-limited countries. The other project was with Dr. Comron Saifi, MD, where she worked with spine surgeons to examine all aspects of complications associated with corrective spine surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
At Berea College, she worked three part-time jobs on campus, including as a teaching assistant for an Applied Statistics course, a research assistant for the college development office, and as the vice president & equity research analyst in the Investment Club. She loves to cook and do chores when she has free time.
